Das CSU Monterey Bay ist ein Basketballteam der NCAA Division II in Monterey Bay, Kalifornien, das an der California State University, Monterey Bay ansässig ist. Das Team tritt in der California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) an und spielt seine Heimspiele im Kelp Bed.

Die Basketballmannschaft der CSU Monterey Bay wurde 1994 gegründet und trat 1997 der NCAA Division II bei. Seitdem hat das Team drei Mal an der NCAA Division II-Meisterschaft teilgenommen und ist 2010 ins Halbfinale eingezogen. Das Team hat außerdem sechs Mal die CCAA-Meisterschaft gewonnen und ist damit das einzige Team der Universität, das einen nationalen Titel gewonnen hat.

Das CSU Monterey Bay wird von Trainer Rob Bishop trainiert, der seit 2005 im Amt ist. Unter seiner Führung hat das Team eine Bilanz von 333-193 (.632) aufgestellt und ist viermal in der NCAA Division II-Meisterschaft aufgetreten.

Die bekanntesten Spieler des CSU Monterey Bay sind:

* Brandon Fields: Fields war ein All-American und wurde 2010 zum CCAA Player of the Year ernannt. Er führte das Team ins Halbfinale der NCAA Division II-Meisterschaft und erzielte dabei durchschnittlich 22,3 Punkte pro Spiel.
* Devin Watson: Watson war ein All-American und wurde 2013 zum CCAA Player of the Year ernannt. Er führte das Team zum Gewinn der CCAA-Meisterschaft und erzielte dabei durchschnittlich 18,5 Punkte pro Spiel.
* Ryan Nitz: Nitz war ein All-American und wurde 2016 zum CCAA Player of the Year ernannt. Er führte das Team zum Gewinn der CCAA-Meisterschaft und erzielte dabei durchschnittlich 17,8 Punkte pro Spiel.

Das CSU Monterey Bay ist ein erfolgreiches Basketballteam der NCAA Division II, das in den letzten Jahren regelmäßig an der NCAA Division II-Meisterschaft teilgenommen hat.
