Team Cali

Baloncesto Profesional Colombiano (Professional Colombian Basketball), currently known as the Liga WPlay de Baloncesto for sponsorship reasons, is the premier professional basketball championship in Colombia.

The championship was established in 1992 and is organized by the Federación Colombiana de Baloncesto (in English: Colombian Basketball Federation). The first national semi-professional championship was called Copa Sprite, sponsored by the eponymous soda trademark. This led the participating clubs to the creation of the División Mayor del Baloncesto Colombiano. This way the first championship was created, called Copa Sprite Profesional. In this version the following teams participated: Bogotá-Doria Promasa, Valle-Sensus 2, Antioquia-Sprite, Santander-Terpel, Barranquilla-Junior y Caldas-Ron Viejo de Caldas.

Team Cali, auch bekannt als Los Titanes de Cali, ist eine professionelle Basketballmannschaft mit Sitz in Cali, Kolumbien. Das Team wurde 1996 gegründet und tritt derzeit in der Liga Profesional de Baloncesto (LPB), der höchsten nationalen Basketballliga Kolumbiens, an.

Team Cali ist eines der erfolgreichsten Teams in der LPB und konnte bereits sechsmal die Meisterschaft gewinnen (2000, 2001, 2005, 2007, 2008 und 2010). Darüber hinaus gewann das Team 2003 den Südamerikanischen Klubpokal.

Heimspiele trägt Team Cali im Coliseo El Pueblo aus, einer Mehrzweckhalle mit einer Kapazität von 18.000 Zuschauern.
