The Liga Nacional de Futsal (LNF) is the premier futsal league in Brazil, and was created in 1996 with the purpose of setting up a championship with the best futsal teams of the country, corresponding to the Brazilian Football Championship Série A. It is organized by the Brazilian Futsal Confederation (CBFS).

History

The league was created in 1996, with the aim to improve the most important Brazilian clubs and help the growth of the sport in the country. The league was inspired by the American basketball league (NBA). On April 27, 1996, the Liga Futsal started.

Die brasilianische Futsal-Liga, auch bekannt als Liga Futsal, ist die höchste Spielklasse im brasilianischen Futsal. Die Liga wurde 1996 gegründet und wird vom brasilianischen Fußballverband (CBF) organisiert.

Die Liga besteht aus 16 Mannschaften, die in zwei Gruppen aufgeteilt sind. Jede Gruppe spielt ein Hin- und Rückspiel gegen jede andere Mannschaft. Die vier besten Mannschaften jeder Gruppe qualifizieren sich für die Play-offs.

Die Play-offs werden im K.-o.-System ausgetragen. Die Sieger der Viertelfinale qualifizieren sich für das Halbfinale, die Sieger des Halbfinales qualifizieren sich für das Finale.

Der Sieger der Liga erhält den Titel des brasilianischen Futsal-Meisters. Der Meister qualifiziert sich außerdem für die Copa Libertadores de Futsal, den südamerikanischen Futsal-Klubwettbewerb.
